ALBAWABA - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced barring Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu from attending government meetings after his 'atomic bomb' suggestion.

Israeli Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu was rebuked by Netanyahu after he supported the idea of dropping an "atomic bomb" on Gaza.

Moreover, families of Israelis taken hostage by the Hamas military group also asked the Israeli government to act against the heritage minister, Israeli media reported on Sunday.

Hamas also responded to the statement made by the Israeli minister saying that it "reflects the terrorism of the Israeli government against our people."

Nevertheless, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant decried Minister Eliyahu's statements saying they are irresponsible, adding that it is good that he is not one of those responsible for Israel's security.
