The owner of Israel's second largest daily, "Maariv," was convicted Sunday of obstructing justice and intimidating witnesses in the wiretapping trial of his son.
Yaacov Nimrodi was found guilty of harassing two prosecution witnesses in his son Ofer's trial, however was acquitted of intimidating a third witness, SPA said.
In addition, Nimrodi also paid a co-defendant, Arieh Krishnev, money to harass witnesses, the Tel Aviv Magistrates Court ruled. Nimrodi and Krishnev were both convicted, and their sentences will be handed down at a later and unspecified time.
They face a maximum of three years behind bars. (Albawaba.com)
