Israeli cabinet minister, Haim Ramon, expressed on Friday support for the cancellation of a deal to supply China with advanced radar technology, which has sparked concern in the United States, reported the BBC.online.

Ramon, who's described as being close to Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Barak, told Israel radio that a decision had to be made quickly and in favor of Israel's relations with the US.

Fears have been expressed in Washington that the technology could be used against Taiwanese and US forces in the event of conflict.

Senior US officials have voiced concern over the two-hundred-and-fifty-million-dollar deal, said the BBC - Albawaba.com
