ALBAWABA - As tensions continue to escalate, Israel has declared the opening of a new front in the aftermath of the conflict in Gaza. Meanwhile, Egypt has announced the reopening of the Rafah border crossing for humanitarian aid to Gaza, and Israel signals its intention to extend the conflict to Lebanon.

Israel's Defense Minister, Yoav Galant, paid a visit to the northern borders of Israel today, where he met with leaders and soldiers. Speaking at the Israeli-Lebanese border, Galant stated, "Hezbollah has decided to join the war and will pay the price. We must be prepared for any eventuality. Significant challenges lie ahead."

Hezbollah, backed by Iran, is the most formidable military force in Lebanon and previously engaged in a conflict with Israel in 2006. After 33 days of fighting during that summer, Israel withdrew its forces from the southern part of occupied Lebanon. Currently, UN peacekeeping forces are stationed along the Israeli-Lebanese border.

In the past 24 hours, a Hezbollah anti-tank missile resulted in the death of an Israeli soldier and the injury of several others. In the early days of the conflict, the Israeli army announced the death of a major.

Fearing the opening of a new front from the north, the Israeli administration has evacuated numerous settlements and cities along the border with Lebanon.

Today, the Israeli military declared that it had targeted two Hezbollah cells on the border with Lebanon. The statement mentioned that an anti-tank missile was fired near the settlement of Hanita, and it was met with a drone strike on the area where Hezbollah militants are positioned
