Israeli police beat up undercover gents by mistake during Friday's confrontations in east Jerusalem, reported the Jerusalem Post newspaper.
It said that the policemen were not aware that the agents, who are part of the border police, were on duty in Sultan Suleiman Street in east Jerusalem, and mistook them for Palestinian demonstrates.
Six of the agents were hurt and two were hospitalized, said the paper.
On Tuesday, at least two of these agents, who disguise in Arab plain clothes, and operate in Palestinian areas, were lynched in Ramallah.
