A Jewish female settler was killed in an ambush set up by Palestinian fighters near the northern Palestinian town of Jenin, while two males were injured, one seriously, reported Radio Israel.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army said Thursday it had lifted a three-day curfew in the flashpoint West Bank town of Hebron but was continuing to prevent Palestinians from going in or out of the city, reported AFP.
The curfew was put in force Monday on a sector of the city where some 400 Israeli settlers live under heavy army protection amid around 40,000 Palestinians, and did not apply to the settlers.
A military spokesman did not indicate how long the total blockade would continue around Hebron, where some 120,000 Palestinian residents have been barred from entering or leaving following violent incidents on Monday.
Reports said Palestinians opened fire on a settler enclave, setting off a gun battle between Palestinians and Israeli troops and settlers that left 15 people wounded.
Five Israelis including a seven-year-old boy were wounded, along with 10 Palestinians -- among them a 10-year-old -- Albawaba.com
