ALBAWABA- At least 24 Palestinians were killed and dozens more wounded after an Israeli air strike targeted a seaside cafeteria west of Gaza City, in what has become a grim daily pattern of attacks on civilians seeking refuge or rest.

The missile struck Al-Baqa Café, a popular spot where displaced families had gathered along the Gaza beach, shattering any sense of temporary peace. The attack killed entire families mid-conversation and left survivors searching through rubble for loved ones.

Palestinian journalist Basel Khalaf, reacting to the massacre, wrote: "I wonder, was this man talking with his wife about that same café known to the city's residents? Or was he talking about a missing, or nearly missed, cup of coffee they hadn’t yet had? Or perhaps about a death he feared—only for an Israeli missile to hasten an end, an end that had already come for thousands before them," according to Quds News Network.

In a separate assault on Al-Wehda Street, an Israeli airstrike targeted a crowd gathered around a public phone charging station, one of the few lifelines left for families trying to connect with the outside world.

At least six civilians were killed, and many others wounded, in what witnesses described as yet another massacre of unarmed people performing basic daily activities.

These attacks form part of a systematic Israeli pattern of killing displaced Palestinians in Gaza, whether in school shelters, aid centers, or informal gathering points.

Entire families have been wiped out while seeking food, electricity, or moments of rest. International humanitarian groups have repeatedly warned that Israel is obliterating what few safe spaces remain for civilians in Gaza.

The French Foreign Minister condemned the repeated strikes on humanitarian sites, calling the killing of over 500 Palestinians in aid centers and the wounding of more than 4,000 others “a shame to humanity that must stop immediately.” He emphasized the moral and legal responsibility of the international community to prevent the normalization of such atrocities.
