In the political field, Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas told reporters the Hamas-led cabinet is expected to face a "serious financial crisis" following Israel's slapping economic sanctions. "The Palestinian Authority has faced a serious financial crisis since the start of the month," Abbas told reporters, while he announced he would meet leaders of Hamas movement on Monday.

Abbas also confirmed that Washington wants 50 million dollars returned by the Palestinians due to Hamas' control of the government, but Abbas added "talks" were continuing on the issue.
