Istanbul will host some 300 finance executives from America, Europe, Asia and Middle East for the Istanbul Finance Summit.
The Istanbul Finance Summit (IFS) will be held in Istanbul on September 28-29-30, 2010.
IFS is designed to provide an annual platform for state of the art discussions on the current state and future direction of the world finance. The Summit is a broad-ranging event, bringing together leading global policy makers, bankers, corporate financiers and regulators, among others. The discussions are expected to have significant impact on the direction of the new financial architecture following the deleterious effects of the global financial crisis. Participants will also find fresh ideas and opportunities for every form of corporate finance during this turbulent period.
The Summit will provide a unique opportunity for delegates to interact and will allow showcasing the capabilities of institutions in a unique international setting. This first Summit will be inaugurated at the Prime Ministerial level and will include top leaders in the banking, corporate finance and project finance sectors as speakers.
The summit, which is organized by PGlobal and Yedi24 companies, will take place at Bahcesehir University's Besiktas campus in Istanbul.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will make opening remarks of the summit. State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan, Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, Central Bank Governor Durmus Yilmaz, Capital Market Board Chairman Vedat Akgiray, Islamic Development Bank President Ahmad Mohammed Ali Al-Madani, Mexican Central Bank Governor Augustin Carstens, and many others will attend the IFS.
