It’s a Great Gold Rush this Ramadan at Oasis Centre

·         Chance to win three kilos of gold coins

·         Oasis Centre collaborates with Red Crescent to help the needy

It is share, shop and win all the way this Ramadan at Oasis Centre as the mall announced the ‘Great Gold Rush’ with three kilos of gold coins up for grabs.

Shoppers spending AED 200 and above in Oasis Centre are eligible for a draw every ten days; with three lucky winners who will receive one kilo of gold each.

“Great Gold Rush is an initiative to reward our valued shoppers at Oasis Centre during Ramadan; it is part of a variety of activities planned to ensure that the spirit of Ramadan resonates throughout the mall,” says Emma Farrell, Marketing Manager, Oasis Centre.

Through the Holy Month of Ramadan, Oasis Centre in association with Red Crescent Society of UAE will give mall visitors a chance to share and help the needy through a fund-raising campaign called Share the Joy. This initiative will allow shoppers to choose and contribute towards a cause that they are most compassionate about within the categories of Disaster Zones, Children and the Poor. Mall visitors can help feed the hungry through the Zakat Al Fitr campaign, or clothe the orphans through the Kiswat Al Eid campaign. They can also contribute towards Rebuilding Palestine & Iraq.

“We are happy about our collaboration with Red Crescent during Ramadan. It is an affirmation of Oasis Centre’s commitment to its community and the less privileged,” Farrell added.

A donation kiosk with three collection boxes (one for each of the above causes) has been set up in the mall and visitors can choose which cause they want to support. Visitors are then entitled to a free Scratch Card to win hundreds of gift vouchers, kindly sponsored by Oasis Centre stores, including Home Centre, Damas, Max, Centrepoint, Q Home, Fun City, Starbucks and Fitness First.

In keeping with the traditions and rituals associated with the season, themed lighting, illuminated palm trees and a Ramadan Souk will come alive in the mall. The Souk will open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 9pm to 12 midnight featuring Arabic sweets, traditional jewellery, art and other locally produced Arabic items. Other Ramadan highlights at Oasis Centre include a traditional majlis (Ramadan tent), where dates and kahwa will be served to visitors and children will be encouraged to participate in various activities, including designing their own charity collection box, which they can take away, fill with coins and return to the mall to donate to Red Crescent. Boys have the option of making a set of glass prayer beads for their family members.

Laden with Arabic culture, traditional celebrations and a chance to win three kilos of gold, Oasis Centre has an eventful Ramadan planned for their customers.
