ALBAWABA - In a tit-for-tat response, Hamas issued a robust reply to Israel's contentious plan to flood Gaza's tunnels, with spokesman Osama Hamdan asserting, "We stand ready for any assault; our tunnel infrastructure is meticulously fortified."

Hamdan underscored the tunnels' integral role in the resistance, urging a comprehensive consideration of potential repercussions and anticipated attacks.

The global discourse surrounding Israeli occupation's proposal to inundate Gaza's subterranean passages continues unabated. Analysts dismiss the viability of this initiative, deeming it impractical both in theory and execution. The initiative is widely perceived as a sinister ploy to render the city uninhabitable by tainting its underground water sources.

While acknowledging a nominal threat, Hamdan exuded confidence that their combatants, the freedom fighters, possess the capability to navigate the situation adeptly, steering clear of adverse outcomes.

Israeli Occupation Forces Spokesperson Daniel Hagari refrained from directly commenting on the tunnel flooding plan but hinted at an intensified focus on tunnel incursions. "We will penetrate the tunnels," he affirmed, signaling an escalation of attacks in those specific areas.
