Italian FM to Visit Libya Sunday for Talks on Bilateral Issues

Italian Foreign Minister Renato Rogero heads to Libya on Sunday for talks on fostering ties between the two countries, reported the official Kuwaiti news agency, KUNA. 

Rogero will meet with senior Libyan officials to discuss building bilateral relations, the Italian Foreign Ministry said in a statement cited by the agency.  

It added that Regero would also discuss regional and international matters of mutual concern, particularly issues related to stability in the Mediterranean and developments in Africa.  

The statement said that Italy had paved the way for the enhancement of its ties with Tripoli, and consolidated its economic links.  

According to the Italian commercial exchange bureau, Italy is Libya's biggest trade partner – Albawaba.com
