Iyad Abdalrahim Named Group Chief Financial Officer of Dubai Properties Group

Dubai Properties Group, one of the largest real estate businesses in the region and a member of Dubai Holding, today announced the appointment of Iyad Abdalrahim as its Group Chief Financial Officer.

In his new role, Abdalrahim will be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and reporting, as well as the development and implementation of financial policies, systems and processes across the group.

Abdalrahim brings more than 20 years of experience in the finance industry across various business sectors to his new position. Prior to joining DPG, Iyad Abdalrahim was Managing Director of Finance for Depa Limited, an international company specializing in interiors contracting. His areas of speciality extend to contracting, construction, banking, restructuring and turnaround, budgeting and planning, IPO management, financial analysis and financial management on a multinational level.

Abdalrahim has also worked as Senior Corporate Credit Officer and Acting Branch Manager for Standard Chartered Bank and as Senior Financial Analyst for the Palestine Development and Investment Co in Nablus, Palestine.

A graduate with a major in accounting and a minor in banking and finance from the Yarmouk University in Jordan, Abdalrahim also holds an MBA degree (with distinction) from the University of Wollongong in Dubai. He has served as an independent, non-executive audit committee chairman and member of Arabtec Holdings, one of the largest listed construction companies in the region based in UAE. In addition, he was the chairman of the Audit Committee of JWICO, a public listed company in Jordan.
