As the Deira City Centre Annual Retailers Awards got underway, promising to recognise retail excellence, Jacky’s Electronics, the UAE’s number one multi-brand retailer, took home the ‘Best Electronics and Entertainment Store’ award. Jacky Panjabi, Managing Director, Jacky’s Group of Companies, received the award from Fuad Al Najjar, Vice President, Deira City Centre.
“We believe that the Deira City Centre Annual Retailers Awards have, over the years, done a tremendous job of recognising the very best across all award categories. It is public recognition that spurs us on to trying even harder in our chosen sphere of work,” said Jacky Panjabi.
“Success is management and is about meeting challenges as a dedicated group. We always see ourselves at the forefront in our field. And we hope to exceed expectations in the future as well. It is not just about one-off achievement but continuous development is important and that is our goal.”
This award criterion was based on Sales per Square Feet, Sales Growth and Majid Al Futtaim Management Choice.
Deira City Centre's 2008 Annual Retailer Awards recognises retail excellence based on overall sales performance, store's operational compliance and customer services in the year 2007. Started in 1998, the awards has gained momentum from the mall’s 350 retailers competing aggressively for the coveted Deira City Centre trophy.
Earlier in June 2007, Jacky’s was recognised as the ‘Best Service Performance Outlet’ in the electronics category by the Dubai Service Excellence Scheme instituted by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It is also a member of Dubai Quality Group. Jacky’s is the only electronics company to be awarded ‘Superbrand’ status thrice in a row by the UAE Superbrand Council.
