Jaguar, one of the world’s most renowned manufacturers of premium cars, has announced that all of its new XK sports car units allocated for the Middle East market have been sold out even before the vehicles arrive.

Recently voted as the ‘The Most Exciting Car to be launched in 2006’ by What Car magazine, the XK was one of the shining stars at the recent Middle East Motor Show that has helped attract huge interest amongst the discerning Middle East customer.

The new XK is the most technologically advanced Jaguar ever produced and is the first of the new-generation of Jaguar cars that comes packed with world first technologies, sexy muscular looks, exhilarating performance and driver focused features.

The new XK will be available as Coupe and Convertible with latest generation 4.2-litre Jaguar AJ-V8 engine developing 300bhp. Reaching 60mph from standstill in 5.9 seconds, the car completes a quarter mile sprint in 14.4 seconds – less than half a second off the pace of the previous 400bhp supercharged model.  It’s 90 per cent stiffer and 180kg lighter than key rivals.

The XK will be in showrooms in the Middle East in March 2006.
