ALBAWABA - Local Japanese media reported that a Japan Airlines plane collided with a coast guard aircraft at Tokyo International Airport.
Police said that five people on board a coast guard plane were killed after the collision with a Japan Airlines jet.
The plane, JAL 516, caught fire as it landed on a runway at Haneda airport on Tuesday evening, BBC reported.
Firefighters are working to put down the fire which engulfed the Japan Airlines plane.
Broadcaster NHK revealed citing Japanese authorities the plane may have collided with another aircraft after landing at Haneda.
According to reports, the Japan Airlines aircraft had people on board, as It was reported that the plane left from Hokkaido.
Airport authorities saved all 400 passengers, and crew members from the Japan Airlines airplane, The Japan Times revealed, but said no official announcement was made to confirm injuries.
A video was shared online allegedly showing passengers of the plane running away to save their lives as fire engulfed the plane.
