javna enriches e-commerce solutions via mobinet
In a bid to transfer the concept of e-commerce to the wireless communications environment, Javna, the leading Arab firm in the field of software solutions and wireless applications, has developed the first package of integrated e-commerce solutions through the Internet Mobile (MobiNet) application.
The Amman-headquartered company said; its new technology would realize a quality leap in the concept of e-commerce, transferring it from the realm of theory to practice. Companies will be able to build their websites and deliver them on wireless devices to ensure better promotion of offers.
In addition to the fact that the MobiNet user-friendly interface allows flexible and smooth updating of the pages, with the possibility of connecting the platforms to the company's server so that orders can be received and processed.
Commenting on the development, Javna's CEO Mansour Mansour said: "We have succeeded as an Arab international company and a partner of the international Symbian Company, in building MobiNet technology, which is the state-of-the-art and the most effective technology to start the era of e-commerce via cellular phones."
Mansour added that MobiNet does not need special installations or complicated arrangements, nor does it even need agreements with the telecom companies providing the service. This allows any bank, company, association or commission to start using the service immediately. The process only requires providing MobiNet with phone numbers of clients, who would be invited through a text SMS to accept a self-run file sent to their mobiles. Once opened, the company's website will automatically appear on the screen.
On the technical side, MobiNet functions on an offline basis, which means that there is no actual need to be directly connected to the Internet or the server of the company to browse the pages, a feature which makes the service less costly for users. What they need to do is to update the company's website from time to time to download the new data.
Javna's Business Development Manager Sammy Tuffaha said: "Since its launch, Javna has shouldered the task of developing mobile applications and enriching them with quality services. The company has never shirked its duty of exploring the regional and international needs or keeping up with the latest advancements in the international arena. Rather, it has been the first to innovate and develop several wireless solutions that ensure it a place among the top international firms in the wireless communications sector."
Tuffaha added: "We are fully aware of the companies' need to communicate with their customers to deliver their offers and announce their marketing programs. On the other hand, we realize that SMSs are ineffective in serving such objectives and that they do not meet the minimum expectation of the companies, let alone other shortcomings like randomness and high costs and that it is not possible to attach pictures or sound files to them. All such deficiencies are addressed by using the MobiNet application to build electronic interfaces."
