The Moroccan Prime Minister, Driss Jettou, chaired on Tuesday in Rabat a meeting devoted to the presentation of the new Regional Tourist Development Program for (PDRT) Fez-Boulemane region.

The program, which is spread out over 10 years and based on a joint development program between the central government and the local authorities in the Fez-Boulemane region, aims at developing two new tourist centers in the region, "Wadi Fes" and "Wislane" and promoting Fez as a tourist destination. EMarrakech reports that the city of Fez recorded some 602.000 tourist nights in 2004 and that it aspires to triple this figure in 2014, based on the implementation of this new development program.
