A joint Egyptian-Moroccan commercial committee, headed by Egyptian minister of economy and foreign trade Youssef Botros Ghali and his Moroccan counterpart Alami Tazi, is expected to convene in Rabat in September, reported Africa News Journal.
The main objective of this meeting is to assess the resolutions of the previous committee that was held last May in Cairo, said the online journal.
The committee's economic report said that the commercial exchange volume has increased during the first 6 months of the current year to $25 million from $18 million during the same period of last year.
The report said that the exchange volume is expected to reach $50 million in 2000 compared to the $37 million realized during 1999.
The two countries had set a goal of increasing trade to $200 million per year, according to the journal - Albawaba.com
