The Ministry of Justice in Jordan will equip courtrooms with computers to replace the dated practice of handwriting in a bid to speed up court proceedings, officials told Jordan Times on Monday.
"Around 150 qualified employees trained in typing have been monitoring court proceedings for the past few weeks to learn of the nature of the work," stated Senator Ahmad Obeidat.
Obeidat, who is a member of the Royal Commission on the Judiciary formed in September, said the computers would be installed in the capital's courtrooms by the end of the month.
Current clerks who work with judges and prosecutors will be trained in typing to help the newcomers in long court sessions, while others will be transferred to other sections – Albawaba.com
