Jordan Ahli Bank supports exhibition for special education

Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sarvath El-Hassan, patron of the Young Muslim Women’s Association (YMWA), Jordan Ahli Bank sponsored the 14th annual exhibition for the YMWA Center for Special Education.

The exhibition was held at the Jordan Construction Contractors Association, featured art and handworks such as ceramics, farming works, textile and woodworks developed by the students of the vocational rehabilitation department at the center.

Ahli Bank encourages the active participation of people of special needs in the community, not only to improve their social, mental and physical welfare, but also because they can be an extremely productive part of the Jordanian economy.

Delivering significant contributions to social development is one of the Bank’s major objectives. As a leading financial institution, the Bank’s support for this event is another realization of this steadfast direction as it consistently aims at creating positive and sustainable change in the local community.

YMWA Center for Special Education seeks to serve students with mental disabilities, empowering them to achieve independence and building their artistic, physical, professional and social abilities, which in return lifts their spirits and improves their quality of life. The Center includes programs that underline the role of parents, teachers and the civil society in forming the students’ present and future as well as supporting the disabled in Jordan.
