Aligned with its ongoing aims to make a notable presence for itself within the regional economic scene, the Jordan Commercial Bank (JCBank) has once again renewed its participation in the annual Damascus International Fair.
Throughout the event’s proceedings, JCBank’s booth captured the interest of a large number of visitors including business professionals, investors, bankers and members of the general public. All visitors visiting the booth were greatly impressed by both the large array of services that the bank has to offer to its client base, and by its ability to provide innovative services that respond to the demands of the modern market. The JCBank booth was also visited by prominent figures from society including the Prime Minister of Syria Mr Mohammed Naji Otri , Syrian Minister of Economy and Trade Dr. Amer Hosni, , Mr. Sharif Al Zu’bi,, Jordanian minister of Industry and Trade, alongside other Ministers , of Industry and Trade from various other countries.
When asked to comment on the bank’s participation in the event, Jamal Al-Raggad, Head of the Public Relations Department at JCBank, said ”We are proud to be present at a regional event of such great magnitude. The Damascus International Fair attracts a large number of participants and visitors every year. It is through our presence at this event that we allow people to learn more about our services and about the ongoing developments that the Jordanian banking scene in general is witnessing at present. We are proud to receive visitors working in different sectors at our booth, for if anything, this goes to show that people, regardless of their line of work, are beginning to understand the pivotal role that financial intuitions play in the development of the local regional and global economic scenes.”
Mr. Raggad also added that this participation isn’t the first of its type for JCBank, and that it will definitely not be JCBank’s last,” To us, our presence in the Damascus International Fair is indeed a learning experience, for we get to see the latest that the regional and global industrial and financial sectors have to offer. The event is also a perfect networking opportunity for us, and a door opener for future and strategic business alliances. At JCbank we like to renew our presence at such activities, for it is through them that we get to introduce people across the globe to the fascinating developments that the Jordanian economic scene is witnessing and to the ever expanding array of services that we offer” he added.
JCBank is this year participating in the event for the second time alongside entities coming from 46 different countries around the globe. This year marks the 53rd year for The International Fair, which was this year inaugurated on September 3rd 2006 under the Patronage of president Bashar al-Assad at the New Fairgrounds City located near Damascus. The event is to run until September 12th 2006.
