As part of its ongoing aims to present its visitors with premium quality services coupled with a comfortable and enjoyable environment for shopping, the Jordanian Duty Free Corporation launched its 2007 Summer Campaign this July with a grand prize every month worth US$ 10,000. This month the company held its first raffle draw on Sunday August 5th 2007 at the Amman Duty free shop and Mr. Rashed Mugrin from Saudi Arabia,Mr.Abdel Salam Alghurain from Palestine , and Mr.Mufleh Abdel Al from Jordan were announced as the event’s lucky winners for this month.

JDF outlets at land crossing borders, sea ports and Amman down town shop for diplomats and non resident foreigners.

Throughout the campaign‘s duration JDF will be offering shoppers 1 ticket for each US$ 50 or equivalent they spend. These tickets will be entered into a monthly raffle draw, held at a different JDF outlet each month.  The campaign is designed so that the more purchases one makes from the outlets the more chances he or she has to win, by spending US 100; shoppers get a second ticket and so on. And the winners’ names will be announced in local media.

Mr. Mugrin winning first prize received US$ 10,000 in cash, while the second place winner Mr. AlGhurain received a Flatron TV set, and Mr. Abdel Al who won the 3rd grand prize won a fully integrated Stereo Hi Fi System.

With the presence of Ministry of Trade and Industry representative, Mr. Haitham Majali, General Manager of the Jordanian Duty Free Shops Co. congratulated the winners, “First and foremost I would like to congratulate our 1st draw winners, as we at the Jordanian Duty Free Shops Corporation are proud to see the high level of participation that this campaign reaped. We decided to launch this campaign during the summer season, as we realize the importance this season in Jordan, as the country's high season usually attracts 1.5 million tourists and this campaign complies with our aims to provide them all alongside our Jordanian travelers with a unique shopping experience”.

What's worth mentioning, that JDF is constantly working to represent Jordan in the best light, especially since JDF’s outlets are the first thing visitors’ encounter when entering the country from its borders. To this effect, JDF is the first Jordanian company to apply Frame Relay technologies for its border operations. These new technological applications link all of JDF’s 16 outlets to the firm’s headquarters thus allowing for the easier access of information and higher levels of efficiency through centralization. This new technological application was adopted by JDF in light of the new fruitful partnership formed with Jordan Telecom. This application is implemented through the know how of Cisco systems brought to Jordan through its agent Intracom Jordan.

It is important to note that the summer campaign was launched as part of the firm’s strategy to commend and reward its clients’ loyalty, and to ensure that its services continually surpass the norm.
