Baqaa camp, parts of Zarqa to be isolated as of Thursday.

Baqaa refugee camp in Balqa  Governorate and part of Zarqa's Al Batrawi and Al Zarqa Al Jadeeda areas will be isolated and placed under a comprehensive curfew as of Thursday 6am.

The decision of the work, production and supply chains committee comes after the recommendations of the National Centre for Security and Crisis Management's (NCSCM) crisis management cell on COVID-19, due to the deteriorating epidemiological situation in the two areas, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Extension of the isolation and comprehensive curfew in the two regions will be considered later in accordance with the epidemiological situation.

Balqa and Zarqa governors have been authorised to take the necessary decisions to ensure the entry of vital supplies and the issuance of permits, as well as to handle humanitarian and emergency cases in the two regions.
