Two people died and four others were injured when a bomb hidden in scrap metal imported from Iraq went off in Khalidiah town in the Mafraq Governorate. According to the Petra news agency, the government has recently banned imports of scrap metal from Iraq for fear of chemical pollution.

The bomb exploded when a local client was about to buy scrap metal from one of the town's shops.
