A leading Jordanian internet service provider (ISP), Global One, announced on Wednesday that it was cutting its Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) internet price by approximately 50 percent, reported the Jordan Times.
ADSL offers unlimited internet access with a download speed of 512 kilo bytes per second (kbps), which according to Global One is ten times faster than traditional internet connections.
“With ADSL, the user can enjoy the fastest internet without the hassles of dialing up, and without worrying about the cost of a phone bill,” Imad Ayoub, general manager of Global One, said in a statement cited by the paper.
The company, which is Jordan's largest ISP, also announced reductions in its prices for dial-up internet services.
