ALBAWABA - A Jordanian medical team has joined the Global Sumud Flotilla, which is heading towards the Gaza Strip to break the siege and deliver humanitarian aid, Al Jazeera Jordan reported Sunday.
Member of the Jordanian Medical Association Council, Bilal Azzam, announced on his Facebook account that a Jordanian medical delegation had joined the Global Sumud Flotilla heading to Gaza.
"A Jordanian medical delegation is joining the steadfastness convoy heading to Gaza," Bilal Azzam wrote on Friday.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Azzam is a pediatric surgeon known for his volunteer efforts in Gaza, particularly during the ongoing Israeli war in 2024.
In addition, Jordanian doctor Muzaffar Al-Jalamdeh confirmed to Roya News the participation of Jordanian doctors in the Global Sumud Flotilla, which is sailing in the Mediterranean Sea toward Gaza in an attempt to break the blockade imposed by Israel.
