Jordan's King Abdullah II on Tuesday flew to the United Arab Emirates for a brief visit to hold talks with UAE ruler Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan, a palace spokesman told AFP.
"The short visit is aimed at congratulating Sheikh Zayed on his recovery following hospitalization" in the United States for a kidney transplant, the spokesman said.
Sheikh Zayed, 82, recently returned home after being absent from the country from July 13 to November 26. He had the operation late August in Cleveland, in the US state of Ohio -- AMMAN (AFP)
