Jordanian Police have arrested one man and are looking for his brother in connection with an alleged “honor crime” committed six weeks ago in which the life of a 19-year-old girl was taken, the Jordan Times reported Sunday.

An official source was quoted by the paper as saying upon a tip from the victim's 47-year-old sister, police exhumed the decomposing body from a cemetery in the Kryemeh area in the Jordan Valley, where she was illegally buried by her brothers.

“The victim's sister kept the murder a secret, fearing for her own life, but decided to inform the authorities after having a fight with her brothers,” the source said, adding that the 23-year-old confessed to murdering his sister with the help of his brother for reasons of honor -- Albawaba.com
