Jordan's King Abdullah will visit Syria in the coming two days to congratulate Bashar Assad for taking the oath of office on Monday at the start of a seven-year mandate, reported the Arabic Daily Al-Rai.
It added that the monarch will attend on Thursday a ceremony on memory of the late Syrian President Hafez Assad who died last month.
Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported Monday that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will also attend the ceremony.
