Joseph Hanania to retire from HP Middle East

HP announced today that Joseph Hanania, managing director and Technology Solutions Group lead of the company’s Middle East operations will retire from the company after 13 years and will pursue new business opportunities.
Hanania’s personal decision to retire from HP comes after a record 2006 performance year for HP worldwide and in the Middle East. A management transition plan was in place several months ago to ensure a seamless handover and business continuity between HP and its wide array of customers and partners in the region.
As of January 29, 2007 Wilhelm Rieder, HP Middle East controller, will be acting as managing director for HP Middle East and John Hoonhout, HP Middle East HPS manager will be acting as Technology Solutions Group lead for HP Middle East until a permanent successor to Mr. Hanania will be announced.
