Jotun Paints, one of the world's leading producers and suppliers of paints and coatings, has announced the launch of a new version of ‘ColourAdvisor’ – a revolutionary easy-to-use online colour visualisation tool – that can also be accessed in all 1,050 outlets comprising of ‘Multicolor Centres’ and ‘Inspiration Centres’ across the Middle East. The enhanced software is capable of letting the end-users do a ‘digital paint job’ by uploading a picture of their own rooms and selecting their desired colours. As a result, customers can enjoy a more realistic experience through superior colour rendering, extended interactivity and accessibility to more colours, thereby enabling them to make better planning and painting decisions.

According to Jotun’s research, consumers in the Middle East are becoming more conscious and more engaged in the decorating or redecorating process of their homes and colour plays an important role in inspiring individuals and creating a relaxing ambience. In line with this, the company is predicting that the high potential of internet planning to save valuable time in the process of selecting the right colour will propel the ‘ColourAdvisor’ software’s popularity among regional consumers. In addition, users can also benefit from the solution’s memory feature, which allows them to store information about their home decorating projects, while providing easy accessibility through its wide availability in individual kiosks founds in all Jotun ‘Multicolor Centres’ and ‘Inspiration Centres’, as well as in the internet on

“Using the internet for planning and product research is becoming more common in consumers’ behaviour, and we have identified the importance of leveraging this possibility to increase our customers’ satisfaction,” said Eirik Kristensen, Regional Marketing Manager MENA, Jotun Paints. “We take pride in efficiently addressing the needs of our customers by ensuring that they have convenient access not only to products but also to our value-added services as well.  We have reached a unique milestone with the launch of ‘ColourAdvisor’ and we are aiming to create bigger successes in promoting interactivity in the paint purchasing process of our customers.”

Aside from helping customers visualise the colours on the rooms, prior to actual painting, using the ‘ColourAdvisor’ can also aid homeowners and interior design specialists in decorating projects and in picking unique colour combinations. In addition to the use of the enhanced software, Jotun ‘Multicolor Centres’ and ‘Inspiration Centres’ also feature the ‘Colour Bar’, a chart which has over 950 colour samples for customers to choose from. Furthermore, trained shop personnel are also deployed across all ‘Multicolor Centres’ and ‘Inspiration Centres’ to assist customers in their queries on refurbishing their living spaces, and to advice them on which colour or texture of Jotun products to use.

“As the market continues to mature, we are seeing an increasing number of homeowners seeking to add their individual style to their own homes. By giving customers an opportunity to experience and sample different colours used for exterior and internal paints, we have earned their trust as the authority in paints. We are confident that the new and enhanced version of ‘ColourAdvisor’ will be an even bigger hit among our customers than the previous one, as we are investing heavily in its development as part of our aims to further expand our ‘Multicolor Centres’ and ‘Inspiration Centres’ networks,” concluded Kristensen.
