Keeping a tag on little ones

Modhesh Fun City accelerates the name tag service for children as the flow of visitors increases

With less than two weeks remaining for Dubai Summer Surprises to come to a close, Modhesh Fun City, sponsored this year by du – the integrated telecom service provider in the UAE, has marked a notable increase in visitors. Offering activities, games, rides and eat out opportunities for one and all, the venue of wonders has doubled up on its services to ensure that the people coming here with young ones have a pleasant, hassle free stay.

“The registration desk for the children’s name tags has been prominently placed at the entrance to Modhesh Fun City. The volunteers who man the desk have been given instructions to encourage parents to fill out details of the child on special wristbands as a precautionary measure. As we approach the closing days of DSS, the rush at the venue is significant and in the chaos, children tend to get separated from their family. To ensure that we can quickly trace their caretakers in such eventualities, we have set up this service,” explained Ahmed Ali, Manager of Modhesh Fun City.

He added, “The system has worked really well and parents feel at ease knowing their children will be well looked even if they accidentally go in separate ways.”

Maryam Hasan Al Marzooqui agreed, “Modhesh Fun City is the only place that my children love to visit during the summers. It offers good variety and great options for the whole family. Often I bring them here and sometimes the cousins also join us and in the group we have to manage about 10 to 12 young ones! It becomes quite a challenge but now since the children have been registered and contact details are on their wrist, I feel assured that even if the child is amiss from the rest we will have no trouble finding him or her.”

“We are gearing up for school to reopen and the children are here today to select from the new stocks of stationery at the Modhesh Merchandise stores.  They also hope to make time to visit the horse riding zone and spend time watching the children skate at the ice skating rink. The summer has been a breeze thanks to this place,” smiled Maryam as she huddled her children – Mohammed (9), Omaran (6), Mariya (4), Abdul Azeez (4) and Omar (2) together for an evening of fun and excitement.

Housed at the Airport Expo in Dubai, Modhesh Fun City is open to all from 10.00am to 10.00pm, Saturday to Wednesday. On Thursdays and Fridays, the venue remains open until 12.00am. It opens at 3.00pm on Fridays. Entry fee is AED 20 per person.

Modhesh Fun City is co-sponsored by Emirates, DWTC, Masafi, and UAE Exchange. For further details log on to www.mydsf.com, or call Ahlan Dubai +971 600 54 5555.
