Khalaf Al Habtoor honoured in London

Mr. Khalaf Al Habtoor, Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group of Companies, has been accorded the Outstanding Business Leadership award by the prestigious All-Party Group on Entrepreneurship and the British Institute of Technology and E-commerce at the Science Museum in London.

The Outstanding Business Leadership award is granted to individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities, acumen and vision.

Mr. Al Habtoor's innovative leadership has made the Al Habtoor Group one of the leading businesses in the Gulf. In 1970, Mr Al Habtoor established his own company, Al Habtoor Engineering, which became the foundation of today's Al Habtoor Group. The Al Habtoor Group currently has several divisions including Habtoor Hotels, Al Habtoor Motors, Diamondlease, Emirates International Schools, Al Habtoor Publishing and Al Habtoor Real Estate.

"As we look to the future and leave the footprints for the next generation, the legacy of Khalaf Ahmed Al-Habtoor will inspire innovation, leadership and entrepreneurship to the young businessmen and women of the United Arab Emirates", said Lord Ahmed of Rotherham, House of Lords, Chairman of All-Party Parliamentary Group on Enterprise.

Dr Muhammad Farmer added, "Mr Khalaf Ahmed Al Habtoor, is a business leader empowered with passion for entrepreneurship, and outstanding creativity with a philanthropic mind".

Mr. Al Habtoor expressed his great appreciation: "Such high recognition is not only a great honour but also truly humbling". He then added, "The success of the Al Habtoor Group exemplifies the principle of excellence on which the United Arab Emirates has built its reputation – a place where hard work, commitment to ethical principles and a willingness to take measured risk so often leads to long-term, sustainable growth".
