Iran's President Mohammad Khatami denied a report published by AlKhaleej newspaper that he plans to establish a center for dialogue among civilizations in the UAE after the end of his term in office as Iranian president.
The newspaper claimed on Thursday the president had told the daily in an exclusive interview that he is going to establish the biggest center for dialogue among civilizations in the United Arab Emirates after the end of his term as president.
However, the Iranian leader reacted by saying that no foreign dailies or periodicals had recently interviewed him on the issue. According to IRNA, he added that he had no decision of the kind at all, saying that he will choose Iran as the venue for such a center if he ever decides to do anything of the sort.
