King Abdullah II of Jordan is to visit Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, starting May 16, a Jordanian diplomat in UAE told AFP Wednesday.
"The Jordanian monarch will visit the Emirates as of Tuesday at the end of a trip to Saudi Arabia," the diplomat said.
King Abdullah will have talks with UAE head of state sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahayan.
The king is due in Saudi Arabia Saturday, for a visit during which he will have talks with King Fahd and Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz, a top Jordanian told AFP Monday.
Their talks will concentrate on reinforcing bilateral relations, the situation in the Arab world and the latest developments in the Middle East peace process, said the diplomat.
Relations between Jordan and Saudi Arabia have improved since Abdullah II came to the throne in February 1999. He visited Jeddah in April 1999, in his first foreign trip after his accession and made pilgrimages to Saudi Arabia in December and March - (AFP)
