King Abdullah Monday issued a special pardon for jailed Japanese photojournalist Hiroki Gomi, 36, for an airport blast that killed a security guard last month, The Jordan Times reported. According to a Royal Court statement, a Royal Decree was issued endorsing a decision by the Council of Ministers to pardon Gomi from the remainder of his 18-month jail sentence. Japanese Ambassador to Jordan Koichi Obata voiced his deep appreciation for Gomi's pardon.
