King Mohammed VI Grants Pardon to over 1,000 Convicts

On the occasion of Aid Al-Adha, King Mohammed VI has granted pardon to 1,256 convicts, some of whom are serving prison sentences and others are free on bail, Morocco’s official news agency reported. 

According to the agency, the total grace on the remaining of prison sentences was granted to 609 prisoners, 625 detainees had their prison sentence reduced, while three others had their life imprisonment sentence reduced to a limited prison term.  

Also, nine persons benefited from a total grace on the prison sentence while the fine was maintained the, three persons got a grace on the prison term and seven persons were exempted from paying the fine, agency added – Albawaba.com
