Kurt Armbruster Joins Crane Aerospace & Electronics as Vice President, Sensing/Utility Systems

Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a segment of Crane Co. (NYSE:CR), has announced the selection of Kurt Armbruster as Vice President, Sensing and Utility Systems, located at the Lynnwood, Wash. site. In this role, Armbruster will be responsible for strategy development and planning, achievement of key financial objectives, business leadership and product development activities for Crane’s Sensing and Utility Systems product line. This product line includes a variety of sensing and system products, including aircraft proximity sensors and related systems, SmartStem wireless tire pressure sensors and systems, weight & balance systems, silicon on sapphire pressure sensors and also provides extensive support for Landing System brake control system programs.
Prior to accepting this position with Crane, Armbruster was Chief Operating Officer for Greenpoint Technologies, a Seattle area company providing interiors for VIP, corporate, and international head of state clients. He has also led two start-up businesses in technology fields. Armbruster started his career with TRW and spent 12 years at Primex Aerospace in a variety of Systems Engineering, Program Management, and Leadership positions.
Armbruster earned a bachelor’s of science as well as a master’s of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
