On Sunday, Kuwait announced that any expatriate caught violating the Labor Law would be given a two weeks' grace period to legalize his or her stay or face deportation, according to Dawn.

The committee in charge of looking into the affairs of the Labor Laws, announced in a statement that such expatriates living in Kuwait were advised to legalize their stay in Kuwait or face the consequences of deportation.

The committee is comprised of the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Labor and Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The statement also warned employers who do not comply with the Labor Ministry regulations and stated that their business licenses would be cancelled if they were caught with illegal expatriates. (Albawaba.com)
