Kuwait Shell, in collaboration with Mad Science, an independent science enrichment provider that delivers hands on educational science experiences for children, recently held the 3R “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle” workshops program at the Saqer Bin Shabib Elementary School. The workshops helped students explore the concept of environment and realize that they can make a difference if they implemented the 3R key principles of reducing, reusing and recycling a wide range of materials. Participating students also experimented with various materials, which allowed them to experience how waste affects and pollutes their surrounding environment.

Mrs. Mary Al-Ansary, Principal of Saqer Bin Shabib Elementary School said: “Through Kuwait Shell and Mad Science’s workshops, students were exposed to both the benefits of preserving our environment. The 3R workshops made us realize the importance of taking responsibility over how much material we use and be conscious about where we dispose our waste.”

Kuwait Shell Chairman, Mr. Ahmed Mouti noted: “The underlying principles of our 3R ‘Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle’ workshops are in line with what we are trying to do here in Kuwait – to spread more awareness amongst younger generations, and make the best of our natural resources in order to help reduce any negative impact on our environment. We, at Kuwait Shell, are proud to continue taking the lead to educate students across the country, and be part of state-wide initiative.”
