Kuwait and Tunisia vowed Tuesday to further strengthen their bilateral ties in the fields of politics and economy, reported the official Kuwaiti news agency, KUNA.
Kuwaiti Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Sabah Al Salem Al Sabah said during his meeting with his Tunisian counterpart, Habib bin Yahia, that the 35-year-old Kuwaiti-Tunisian ties “confirm their common stand towards all Arab and Islamic issues.”
Sheik Mohammad arrived in Tunis earlier Tuesday for a two- day visit within the framework of his Arab tour, which included Sudan.
Kuwait and Tunis will sign an agreement on forming a joint committee to follow up on their political, economic, investment and cultural relations, said KUNA.
"Mixing politics and economic relations has strengthened cooperation between the two countries' leadership and their people," he said.
For his part, Yahia expressed his "satisfaction over joint bilateral ties and the great achievements which resulted from it," while asserting the importance of further development.
"The goodwill of the two countries' leadership pushed these ties forward for stronger relations," added the Tunsian official - Albawaba.com
