Kuwaiti Minister to visit China, Japan, South Korea

Kuwait’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah on Monday is to begin an official trip to Northeast Asia where he will visit China, Japan and South Korea for talks with top officials. 

 

The trip is expected to last ten days, and will start in Beijing, where Sheikh Dr. Mohammed is due to deliver a letter from First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to Chinese Foreign Affairs Minister, Jiaxuan Tang.  

 

The visit comes within the framework of ongoing development between the two countries in all fields, according to a source, hailing the distinguished relations that join Kuwait and China.  

 

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti minister's second stop will be Tokyo, where Sheikh Dr. Mohammed is expected to meet with Japanese Foreign Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi, in addition to the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Takeo Hiranuma, the Kuwait news agency reported.  

 

The Kuwaiti Minister is expected to review with Japanese officials bilateral relations and ways of developing trade channels between the two countries. 

 

Seoul marks the last stop on his trip, where Sheikh Dr. Mohammed will lead the Kuwaiti delegation attending the Second Ministerial Conference for Democratic Nations, which is scheduled to be held between November 10-12. (Albawaba.com)
