In Kuwait, Speaker of the National Assembly, Jasem Mohammed al-Khorafi expressed his dismay towards what had been published on Monday by a local daily, which reported that "the decision against the Iraqi regime will be taken during weeks not months."

Al-Anbaa newspaper, quoting informed sources, said that the first deputy prime minister and foreign minister, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah told al-Khorafi during a meeting on Sunday that, "any decision against the Iraqi regime will be taken within weeks, not months as being circulated", according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

Al-Khorafi told the News Agency that, "every sentence and detail in this report is not true, as this has not been discussed during the meeting". "The discussions in the meeting focused on our local issues and the relations between the two authorities." He urged the local press "to be precise in what it publishes." (Albawaba.com)
