A Kuwaiti national was kidnapped Sunday from a farm that he owns in east Lebanon and taken to an unknown location, the state-run National News Agency reported.
The NNA said that Mohsen Barak al-Majed was snatched by three unknown assailants upon his arrival to his farm in the central Bekaa town of Qab Elias, and tied up along with his porter, a Syrian national.
It added that the assailants left the two tied up for three hours before shooting the porter in the leg and taking off with al-Majed.
Paramedics transferred the porter to a nearby hospital for treatment, while police opened up an investigation into the incident.
The motive behind the kidnapping was unclear.
