Kuwait’s Prime Minister and Special Advisor to the Kuwaiti Crown Prince, Sheikh Nasser Al-Ahmad as-Sabah, in a meeting in Kuwait on Tuesday with Iranian Ambassador to the Emirate Jafar Moussavi, stressed the “excellent” relations between his country and Iran.
For his part, Moussavi said that the Iranian foreign policy is based on strengthening ties with all Persian Gulf littoral States.
"My important mission during (my) stay in Kuwait is to bolster Iran-Kuwaiti ties", he said.
Moreover, Mousavi alluded to the cultural and historical affinity between the two countries and expressed hope that these relations would develop in the future, IRNA reported.
He also said that Tehran’s relations are on a positive trend with the Persian Gulf states "at the time when some countries are striving to stoke acrimony in the ties between the two nations." (Albawaba.com)
