Leading business aviation companies line up for Asian aerospace 2009
Reed Exhibitions, the organiser of Asian Aerospace 2009 and its concurrent event, Asian Business Aviation, has signed up a number of key business aviation players to its global Hong Kong-based aviation Expo and Congress, scheduled for 8-10 September. Bombardier, Jet Aviation, Avinode, Lufthansa Technik and Gulfstream are among the early participating suppliers. More companies with global vision are expected to participate in Asian Business Aviation which is held concurrently with Asian Aerospace after the EBACE event (12-14 May).
Last month it was announced that the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) is bringing a new event ‘Asian Business Aviation’ – a conference and networking platform to Asian Aerospace’s agenda. The Asian Business Aviation event will jointly provide an effective face-to-face networking platform conjoining the world’s top buyers and service suppliers in the aviation industry with Asia.
“The market in Asia is 180 degrees different now from how it was six months ago and we plan to focus on these challenges in this unique Asian networking opportunity,” said AsBAA Vice Chairman Jason Liao, who will also be in Geneva.
“Together with Asian Aerospace, Asian Business Aviation will provide a unique three-day business to business exhibition and conference representing unbeatable value for investment in these tough economic times,” said Reed Head of Global Sales Aerospace and Aviation, Richard Thiele. “The event’s unique positioning and focus provides a business platform for the business aviation industry to meet the widely forecasted groundswell of demand in Asia, particularly from China. Special programs will be launched to cater for the buyers and high-flyers from the industry which includes exclusive business aviation party and matchmaking programs.”
Asian Aerospace takes place at a time when the rapid economic development of Asia is constant. China is featuring strongly as an engine of growth. Although a relatively new entity in Asia, and in spite of the world economic turndown, 2008 was a record year for the business aviation market, particularly in Mainland China. China is already the world’s second-largest overall aviation market having experienced substantial growth over the past ten years.
Held in-conjunction with Asia Business Aviation (ABA), Aircraft Interior Expo (AIX), Asia Pacific Aviation Training (APATS) and Air Freight Asia (AFA), Asian Aerospace is the world’s largest single-focused exhibition and congress for the commercial aerospace and civil aviation market with particular emphasis on the Asia-Pacific region. Some 350 exhibiting companies are expected in Hong Kong – drawing in over 10,000 professional trade visitors from 75 countries and regions.
