At least 44 dead in Iraq attacks

At least 44 people were killed in a series of bombings and armed attacks early Wednesday in Baghdad, its surroundings and the city of Hilla (center of the country), reported medics and security.

In Hilla, two car bombs exploded, killing at least 22 people and wounding 38. In Baghdad and its suburbs, about a dozen of bombs, including several car bombs exploded. At least 18 people were killed. Two armed robberies were also reported in several districts of the capital.

Another attack with two car bombs in the town of Balad left four people dead.

At least six Sunnis are killed in an attack in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Sunday and 38 more were injured,
