An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale killed at least nine people in eastern Turkey, reports said Friday.
About 20 people were injured in the quake, Anatolia news agency said.
Erzurum province governor Mustafa Malay was quotde as saying at least four people were undergoing hospital treatment for shock after residents fled their homes in panic.
