ALBAWABA - Following the full withdrawal of the Israeli army forces from Southern Lebanon, the Lebanese army said on Saturday that forces had completed the deployment in nine towns on the border between Israel and Lebanon.

A ceasefire deal was agreed between Lebanon's Hezbollah and Israel and entered effect on Nov. 27 and included the full withdrawal of the Israeli army from southern Lebanon and the full deployment of the Lebanese army on the border.

The Lebanese army revealed in a statement: "The army units are completing their deployment in Ras al-Naqoura, Alma al-Shaab, al-Dhahira, Tayr Harfa, and Majdel Zoun in the Tyre district."

It added that units were positioned also in the towns of Aitaroun, Bint Jbeil, al-Salehni, and al-Qaouzah in the Bint Jbeil district.

"The Lebanese army is working to strengthen its deployment and secure important points," the statement also reads.

The army further mentioned that the Lebanese forces were moving in coordination with "the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and the five-member committee supervising the cease-fire agreement."
